Angels Call for Sustainable Change
Working together to empower lives and bring change to under-resourced rural communities!
Dear Friends of Angels
As we reach the end of another extraordinary year, my heart is full of gratitude. Angels Resource Centres has continued to grow, touch lives, and strengthen communities because of the remarkable dedication of our team, our Angels, who show up every day with passion, compassion, and purpose.
To our partners, funders, volunteers, and communities: thank you for believing in us, standing with us, and helping us keep Angels flying. Every programme delivered, every entrepreneur supported, every learner uplifted, and every rural community empowered has been made possible through your unwavering support.
As we prepare for a well-deserved rest, please note that Angels will be closed from 12 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful holiday season. May the new year bring renewed hope, energy, and opportunities to continue making a meaningful difference together.
With gratitude,
Lizelle Coombs
CEO, Angels Resource Centres
Champions of Change Celebrate a Milestone
2015-2025: 10 Years of Impact, Innovation & Inspiration
Since our founding in 2015, Angels has been more than just a non-profit organisation. We have been a catalyst for transformation in South Africa’s rural and under-resourced communities. Our mission has always been clear, to ignite potential, integrate communities, and create lasting impact.
We reflect on a decade of doing just that, by:
• Empowering rural entrepreneurs through our flagship Enterprise4Change programme, turning survivalist
businesses into sustainable enterprises and employers in their communities.
• Training women and youth through Women4Change and Youth4Change, equipping them with leadership, life
skills, and business acumen to shape their futures.
• Supporting micro and subsistence farmers through Agri4Change, helping them build viable agri-businesses and contribute towards food security in their communities.
• Promoting environmental awareness and entrepreneurship through Waste4Change, enabling community members to find new business opportunities in the waste and recycling industries.
• Completing Community Needs Assessments (CNAs) using our unique Life Chain Approach, ensuring that every
programme is rooted in evidence, inclusivity, and local voice.
We have learned that effective community development starts with listening. By engaging deeply, researching thoroughly, and acting collaboratively, we have built programmes that respond to real needs and creates real change.
Our impact is not just measured in numbers, though we are immensely proud of all the jobs supported, the rands invested, and businesses mentored over the past 10 years. Our true measure lies in the stories of transformation: the young intern who became a community leader, the entrepreneur who now runs a successful business and mentors others, the student who graduated against all odds thanks to a client sponsored bursary programme.
Angels CEO, Lizelle Coombs, has been the driving force behind us all, encouraging us to always do better, be better and help our communities to thrive better. Angels Resource Centres has been able to achieve so much through her leadership; from working in the smallest towns to achieving awards for the programmes we deliver.
This year we celebrated our milestone with sparkle and spirit – and heartfelt gratitude, knowing that the Angels Team only achieves results with the support of our clients, friends and partners, who are our fellow champions of change, enabling us to implement the programmes that impact our rural communities. Now it is time to recommit to the journey ahead, to keeping South Africa moving toward sustainable development.
Here’s to the next decade of impact – working together to build a South Africa where every community thrives.

Youth Development in Progress
Youth4Change Programme: Ignigting Potential in Rural Communities
Focus on Career Development and Preparing Rural Youth for Jobs of the Future :
A Strategic & Impactful Investment in Rural Youth.
Angels Youth4Change development programme was implemented to impact youth living in the !Kheis & Kai !Garib Municipalities, Northern Cape. The first cohort of 20 youth started their dynamic workshops in November 2025, and will run for 3 months – ending in January 2026 with a mini-career expo and a celebration to award them with certificates of attendance.
Over the next 12 months this programme is set to impact 80 youth, residing across 8 local towns, by targeting
unemployed youth between the ages of 18-35. Aiming to expose youth to career awareness and career opportunities, equip them with job readiness and entrepreneurship skills while developing their leadership abilities, this programme will transform futures with skills that will open doors to unlimited possibilities.
This youth focussed development opportunity was made possible by Scatec, built on the success of their existing enterprise development programme, they demonstrate corporate leadership in tackling youth unemployment by equipping local youth and enabling them to play a pro-active role in community upliftment, thus creating a sustainable pipeline of skills and talent, linked to the renewable energy sector and other growth industries within these communities.
The Angels team are excited to be facilitating and collaborating together with local service providers to implement this programme – designed to positively impact the lives of local youth and bring renewed hope for future employment. We have had incredible engagements with the participants and excellent feedback from the youth, and their parents, who can already see what a difference this training opportunity is making!
Thank you Scatec for actively “Improving our Future”
