Lou-May Immelman starts her pilgrimage walk on 12 May to raise awareness for the environment and Angels Resource Centre’s Big Waste Wake-Up programme.

“I plan to walk 275km in May 2019 to raise funds for “The Big Waste Wake Up”.
My goal is to raise R15 000 towards income-generating assets for Yolanda’s business, which will enable her to process waste more effectively and save on storage space.  This will be one way to scale her business up.

Let us make a difference and succeed, in keeping with the spirit of the residents who named their community ‘Masiphumelele’, a Xhosa word meaning ‘let us succeed’.”
